John Poe is a statistician at the University of Michigan Medical School in the division of General Medicine. His research is on health policy and statistics with a focus on multilevel models and causal inference. He also teaches advanced multilevel modeling at the ICPSR Summer Program at the University of Michigan. Prior to working at UM, he was postdoctoral research scholar and research methodologist with the Center for Health Services and Systems Research at the University of Kentucky. He also received his Ph.D. in Political Science at the University of Kentucky in 2017 as well as a B.A. in Political Science from the University of Arkansas.
